Flatbed Trucks
This large vehicle features a flat body with no sides or roof around the bed. The flatbed truck is most commonly used to transport heavy loads that won’t be compromised when exposed to inclement weather.
Curtain-Side Trailers
A dry van and a flatbed trailer combined into one piece of equipment, a curtain-side trailer features a ceiling, front wall, rear doors, and curtains. These curtains hang from the roof on each side of the trailer and can be opened to allow access for loading.
Drop Deck Trailers
With drop deck trailers, the floor drops down after it clears the tractor unit. The lower deck allows for hauling taller loads than a regular straight floor flatbed.
Step Deck Trailers
With no sides, roof, or doors, a step deck trailer closely resembles a flatbed truck. However, it has two deck levels, offering three main advantages that standard flatbed trailers cannot — more height, easier maneuverability for forklifts, and equipment diversity.
Lowboy Trailers
As the name suggests, this trailer’s deck is extremely low to the ground, providing the ability to transport extra-tall cargo and loads up to 12 feet tall. A lowboy trailer features two separate drops in deck height, one directly after the gooseneck and another right before the wheels.
